Cannot change icon of Portfolio in widgets

    I tested that it was possible with the other widgets. Trying to do so with the portfolio widget says please reload the page a problem has occurred.

    Please help.

    I’m also unable to add the blog widget :/. Please take a look at my issues.

    Feel like I’m having a ton of problems with this plugin.

    Hi,
    You do not hit the save button after you have typed the icon and selected the page. It’s turning down, not recorded yet because you leave immediately. This slowness seems to be due to the server.

    Serkan, I am not hitting save because after waiting an indefinite period of time it still does not allow saving.

    Here is me waiting for a minute without the save menu updating.

    It is not possible to do this as you cannot add the Empathy widgets from a theme that is not Empathy.

    I will not provide you with my WordPress details.

    Please create a fresh install on the newest version of WordPress, investigate this issue, and provide a proper fix.

    Hi robtissy,
    I am here to help you but you are not helping me at all. I asked you to activate the default WordPress theme to investigate the issue on widgets. But you should test the widgets in the default also I asked you to provide the details and you didn’t want to share it so at this point I can not help you more.

    Greetings Serkan,

    It is not POSSIBLE to add your widgets from the customize menu when it is set to a default wordpress theme. I’d know, because I already tried.

    You would know this if you’d do the same.

    I will not provide you with my WordPress details because this is a potential security issue, as I’m sure you know.

    It does not work with a fresh install of your theme and it’s not possible to add the widget for your themes in the customize menu because the default wordpress theme only shows its widgets.

    I ask again that you replicate this issue on your end and provide a proper fix.

    I am having the exact same issue as robtissy. While I agree with robtissy you should be able to replicate the issue if you just fired up a fresh wordpress install, I will pm access to my wordpress install.

    Hi, I can not test it because it does not happen in our demo website. I would recommend you to disable third-party plugin and try it again. You can also contact the hosting company and ask if they have any solutions. It stays in the continuous saving cycle. It is not easy for us to be able to detect this from the outside without looking at a problematic admin panel.

    rob clearly showed what the problem was in his dropbox video, also the title of this thread says the problem. I can not change the icon for the portfolio widget. It just spins infinitely and prevents you from ever saving. I have tried disabling every plugin except the pixelwars-portfolio one. I still get the same problem.

    As for hosting company problems, there is none. The first thing they are going to say is that we don’t support third party plugins/themes (yours). This is your product that is having the issue, nothing else, please don’t try to pawn this off on the host provider when rob is having the same issue.

    Again all I want to do is to change the icon for the portfolio tab. I want it to be the pe-7s-potfolio one, not glasses. It appears it may be a problem with http://themes-pixeden.com/font-demos/7-stroke/, because none of the other widgets will accept the portfolio icon. They will take the input in the field and let me save, but the tab never displays the portfolio icon. So maybe that icon is just broken?

    Ok so I try to change it to any icon, let’s say the id or user one from one of the other widgets. Nope still spins forever and won’t let me save.

    Hi, this is really awkward, when the first time font icons are not loaded i checked the chrome console and saw an error message about Font from origin has been blocked from loading by Cross-Origin Resource Sharing policy: No ‘Access-Control-Allow-Origin’ header is present on the requested resource. Origin is therefore not allowed access., i just made a quick search on it and found some possible solutions, please check out this posts;

    yeah that is probably related to a bunch of cdn stuff I am working on right now, but I just turned that on around midnight CST last night. There are a bunch of other problems, not related to your theme, I am working through right now. The site isn’t “live” right now so feel free to disable all other plugins before you guys do your testing. On Sunday when I last posted I was still not able to get the icon to change even with all plugins disabled (besides pixelwarsportfolio).

    Hi, I checked your admin panel and tested it myself and let it change easily. If there are plugins on the browser, they can be impacted or they can be hard cached. First of all, solve this problem. If there is a problem related to us, we also provide the necessary improvements.
