please help!

i attempted to replace my static html site at jenniferbillock.com with my bookcard site that i built at subdirectory jenniferbillock.com/new. i followed the instructions here: http://codex.wordpress.org/Giving_WordPress_Its_Own_Directory#Using_a_pre-existing_subdirectory_install

it did not work. the site changed to a screwed up version of the bookcard site, without the template, and now i can’t even get into wordpress to see if something went wrong on that end. when i attempt to log into wordpress i get a 500 (internal server) error. my other wordpress sites work fine, so it is just with this one.

i reuploaded my old static html site for now but i need to get my bookcard site up asap. i can no longer get to the bookcard site even by going to jenniferbillock.com/new, which was the subdirectory i built it on. i get the same wordpress error. i have all the files saved for the bookcard site, but where did it go? and how do i get my bookcard site up at jenniferbillock.com??
