Hi there.
Im getting a message on my portfolio gallery that states:

The carousel plugin has been disabled, because another plugin or a theme is overriding the [gallery] shortcode.

I have added no other changes to the theme, and this has been happening only recently even though I have not added new plugins.

Hi, this theme overrides the gallery shortcode of the wordpress for portfolio.

yes, but how do I get rid of that message? Ive never seen it before, it just started showing up.

Bumping this as I need to get this resolved.
I have made no theme changes, so unsure why this message is showing.

I think it is a plugin related issue. Try deactivating your plugins and check again.

I’ve disabled all plugins, and still the issue is occuring.
This theme actually along with the plugins don’t have much customization.
And I dont have plugins except for akismet for spam, jetpack, and crayon syntax for code. There is something else that’s breaking this theme, but I do not believe its the plugins.

Looking for some on-going support here…

Looks like it was indeed Jetpack. Something with WordPress jetpack was messing with it.

You can try deactivating the “Carousel” feature of Jetpack.
