Just wondering if there is some way to easily change across the entire site whenever it says “post” or “posts” to say “note” and “notes”, respectively. For instance, on the archives page it says “last 30 posts” and when you click on “Archives by category” the next page says “post categories”….but I’d like them to read “last 30 notes” and “notes categories”. Can this be done with custom css?

They are translatable. You can convert it to any of your words. Please check the localization chapter in your theme’s documentation.
