I would like to remove comments off of every area of my site, and also not have them show up automatically again. How can I make it so that comments are completely off for my site?

Hi Austin,
Please go to settings > discussion > uncheck the allow people to post comments on new articles box and save it.
Also you can use this custom css code;

.comments-area { display: none; }

I have another question, I was wondering how I could get the featured images to show above my post title on my main blog page. I see the option for having them above the title on single posts, but could not find the option for the main feed on the blog page.

Please go to appearance > customize > meta > blog meta
