hello devs,

visiting my website recently since about 3 months i’ve noticed my contact form has stopped working. I don’t think anything has changed since it last time it worked (nothing changed in contact-form or sendmail.php. i’ve since tried a few changes but to no avail.

in the sendmail.php file my original settings were (if i remember correctly:

$site_name = ‘my-site-name-is-here’;
$sender_domain = ‘smtp.ionos.com’;
$to = ‘my-site-email-is-here’;

does that seem to be acceptable settings?

Hi,

1-) sender domain should be like;

$sender_domain = ‘server@your-domain.com’;

2-) if this doesn’t work please make sure php mail function is enabled on your hosting.

I’ve tried the $sender_domain as you suggested already. However just to clarify I literally use the word ‘server’ in the string or should that be replaced with something else?

Hello again and thanks for your help so far. I have finally got it to work.
I changed settings again and it works now but I am 100% sure I already tried the settings I have now.
Anyway the main thing is that I now receive emails from the contract form.
