Cooked Recipe Issues

    I recently published my food blog and have been creating my recipes using the Cooked plugin. I copy and paste the recipe shortcode into all of my blog posts and have disabled public recipes in the Cooked plugin settings.

    My main concern right now is how Google is interpreting my recipes/blog posts. I recently did a URL inspection on Google Search Console for the page below and it came back with an error “Missing field image.” I initially did not include a featured image in the Cooked recipe area because the image was appearing too large, but I decided to include one to test if my posts would be more easily searchable and I am still getting the “Missing field image” error. I’m not sure if it is because Google is confused by the duplication between my recipes and posts, but I have plenty of images on the page.

    Also, is there a way to change the size of the featured image that appears in the recipe section on my blog posts? Right now it is displaying too large, I would prefer a smaller image if possible. Thanks in advance.

    Hi, unfortunately, this is not available by default in the Cooked plugin, you may request this feature from the plugin author and if more users request the same feature I believe the plugin author may consider providing a solution for this.

    Also, You can use relevanssi plugin to solve the duplicate search results issue, please check out this post for more;

    Featured image issue, you can use this custom css code;

    body .cooked-post-featured-image img, .wp-block-image img { width: 60%; }

    Cheers.
