You need to select cvCard template for your homepage.

I have the same problem. I tried to select cvCard template for my homepage and then select corresponding widgets. But after that menu is still messed up. For example, when I click on menu item “portfolio” it shows a page with text, “about page” is always blank (unless I select is my static page), etc.

Could you please explain in more detail how to setup the menu correctly?

Your menu hierarchy has to match with your widget hierarchy, meaning they have to be in the same order. Not to forget you also need create a page for Blog, and Portfolio. And then adress it on the widget and the menu(as #/Blog #/Portfolio). Lastly you need to create one home page(and don”t adress it at anywhere and select it as cvcard template and front page.

boschwear, your explanation is partially confusing. Is a menu necessary to make the site work? I find I am doing well without having one, but my adding a menu, things don’t seem to be working. My pages are in the same order as they are on widgets, so everything is connecting a-ok. But the menu seems to “break” it, and instead of shifting the pages to the left and right, it goes straight to the page and only gives me the option of going home or to search.

How can I have the menu on the home page appear the same exact way on my other pages? When you click on a menu item and it brings you to a page, where the menu was, is replaced with a Home Circle Button and a Search Circle button. I do not want this. I just want the menu to stay the same throughout each page. Is this possible?

Sorry, this is not possible by default. But, you can use a custom navigation menu for the blog page by activating it via Theme Options > Style > Classic Navigation Menu.
