Dash in Site Title

    My website title is Content Charisma, but since I do not want to add a tagline, it reads in browser tabs and search results as “Content Charisma -“. Is there a way to remove that dash?

    Hi laurarylee,
    Appearance > Theme Options > General > Delete the theme tagline.
    Also go to settings > general > delete your wordpress tagline as well.
    Cheers

    Hi Serkan, went to both of those locations and there was nothing to delete in those form fields; they are blank already.

    Hi laurarylee,
    You can use this custom css code;

    .site-description {  display: none; }

    Thanks

    Thanks! Should that code be placed in the Theme Editor CSS, or somewhere else? I put it there and saved; the dash is still there unfortunately.

    Hi laurarylee,
    If you talking about the site description, it should not be there.
    Could you be more specific please and maybe add a screenshot.
    Thanks

    I put the code in Appearance > Editor > Edit Themes Bloggy: Stylesheet (style.css), but dash is still showing. See screenshots:

    Thank you.

    Appearance > theme options > style > Custom CSS
    You should add your custom codes here.
    You are using yoast seo plugin so check its settings for the dash.
    Thanks
