I’ll try my best to explain my question. I am using the The Blogger Charlotte demo layout.

Is it possible to have post #1, #4 and #5 appear in the slider and then have post #1, #2, #3, #4, and #5 appear in that order beneath the category images on the home page? So visually it would look like this:

Slider: #1, #4, #5
_____________________
Category 1, 2, 3, 4
____________________
Post #1
Post #2, #3,
Post #4, #5
Etc…

Is it possible to have posts appear in the order that they are posted or in reverse chronological order but have a completely random set of posts appear in the slider?

Hi, You can choose the order in the Slider by choosing them as the sticky post. The appearance order is according to the date order. The new ones look ahead. In this way, you can create a sort using date and sticky properties.
