Hi Serkan,

I set up the slider and read in the forum, that those post showing up in the slider need to be a sticky post? As they are a sticky post, they show up first on the “home” website. Even if I post a new article the sticky post show up first, under the slider. Is there any other option, to have a slider and still have the order of first showing up the newest article (without being in the slider or a sticky post?)

Hi Nathalie,
The post has to be a sticky post to show up in the main slider. If you avoid the show the same post under the slider then you should watch this steps.
Please go to appearance > theme options > main slider > exclude sticky post from slider
