Hi. I’d like to add a menu item that leads outward to linkedin. How can I do this? The normal menu technique does not seem to work. Thanks!

It is not possible by default with this layout. You can add your LinkedIn account to social icons and give an external link, just like the demo site.

You can go to appearance > widgets > footer social icons > drag and drop text widget > add this shortcode;
[social_icon first_icon="yes" last_icon="yes" type="linkedin" url="#"]

Then go to appearance > customize > custom css box and add this css code;

a.linkedin { font-size: 36px !important; }
