Hi, i have a few questions about facebook thumbnails.

Some of my posts may have images, but some may not. Ideally, when sharing either by pasting the post url in the FB status bar, or by clicking ‘like’ using the theme’s built-in sharing functionality, I’d like either an image from the post to show as a thumbnail or, if there are no images in there, a default image of my choosing to show.

Right now this is what happens:
If i paste the URL in the status bar, there’s no thumbnail.
If i click ‘like’ on the post page, the pinterest logo is the thumbnail shown.

Is there any way to change this?

Note that I have tried adding featured images to posts, but that doesn’t make a difference.
