I’ve successfully installed the theme and chosen the John layout. Pages are setup as recommended with a homepage (layout set to latest posts) and blog page.

I’ve added theblogger intro widget to the page featured area in the customizer. It also shows up in the widgets page under the page featured area. However the content is not visible on my homepage. Can you suggest what else I need to do to get this to show up?

I’ve fixed this issue myself – discovered you can toggle the featured area on/off in the page settings.
