Hi there,
I was just wondering if it is possible to add custom css to prevent the “Name”, “Email” and “Message” etc. titles from capitalising on the contact form. Is it also possible to change the font itself?
Many thanks for any help you can give.
Hi, try this custom css code;
label { text-transform: none; font-family: Arial; }Thank you so much, it works perfectly. Is it also possible to change the colour and font of the Submit button?
you can try this custom css code;
button.submit.button { color: #096; border-color: #096; font-family: Arial; }Is it possible to change the actual text? Like instead of name>nombre, instead of submit>enviar. I’ve been searching on the forum but they all talk about plugins and I’m not sure they want the same as I do. Thank you in advance.
Hi @bentham403;
You can use the Loco Translate plugin for this situation
( https://wordpress.org/plugins/loco-translate/ )
ThanksWell I just wanted to do it in one of my contact form but no in the other one I will check if I can do it with the plugin but apparently there is no way to do it without plugins, is there? Thank you.
Hi @bentham403;
You might be very expert if you don’t want to do it without plugin. It is too complicated. Maybe you can hire and expert in the envato studio.
I would recommend you to use this plugin.
ThanksI’m trying it but it affects to all the website but not only the contact form. Do you know any pluging where I could edit only one page instead? Thank you.
Maybe not a pluging but code, I just want to translate this contact form: http://ajramirez.com/presupuesto/
but I dont want to translate the main page contact form.
Thank you.Hi @bentham403;
Please try to use this plugins.
http://poedit.net
https://wordpress.org/plugins/qtranslate/Ups, they didn’t work, there should be an easier way to translate 4 words only, maybe creating a new form with contact form plugin instead using the one by default, am I right? Thank you.
If them doesn’t work, you can ask to plugin’s author. Because everyone using these plugins to translate the websites.
Yes, the thing is that I only want to translate one page and those plugins work in all of them. I’m still looking for a plugin which could translate only certain words in one page or even create a new form. Thank you.
Hi @bentham403;
Loco Creating a translation the words that you want to translate your language and WordPress are reading this, so you can delete loco after the translation.
First of all up-to-date your theme and run this plugin.
ThanksYes but If I translate the three words for that contact form it will also affect to my main site. Does it make sense? Thanks.
Hi @bentham403;
I see your concern but it shouldn’t effect your main site. Your website is not up to date. First of all, update your website and use that plugin. Just translate 3 words then delete that plugin. We haven’t met with any problem with loco translate before.
If you still feel uncomfortable, you can install ninja forms instead of default contact form.
https://wordpress.org/plugins/ninja-forms/
You can see how to translate ninja forms labels to another language below the link.
https://wordpress.org/support/topic/how-to-translate-ninja-forms-labels
Thank you.Hi there, what do you mean by my website is not up to date, I have the last version of your portfolio 2.2 and the last version of wordpress 4.4.1. I tried with the loco translate and it didn’t work in both not only in the main site. Thanks.
We just tested it and its working fine.There is one golden rule for the proper functioning of the localization. You need to choose language file which WordPress uses after clicking new language. You need to look at that site in WordPress, which was established in the country language. Settings > General > Site Language
Find your theme from logo plugin translate page and click to new language and change the words and save it. Go to your language file in your theme file and you can see it there.
1.Create a languages subdirectory in your plugin or theme’s root directory
2.Ensure this directory writeable by the web server
3.ind the theme or plugin in the list at Loco Translate > Manage Translations
4.Click + New language and follow the on-screen prompts.My clients use polish language in a contact form and when I get an email some letters are not displayed properly ex. ą ę ś ć. Instead of this i see: Ä ÄÅÄÅóźż .
Is it possible to change coding?
Hi krzysztofkrawczyk,
Go to appearance > Theme Options > Style > Check Latin Extended Character Set
If you still have the problem, please try to install and activate the plugin UTF-8 Database Converter or Full UTF-8.
ThanksSerkan,
First plugin is out of date, last update was 6 years ago, I was even afraid to run it ;)
