Hi there,

I took the steps from the tutorial to add the maps API.

When I load the page it quickly shows the right location, and then an overlay appears which says
“Sorry! Something went wrong.
This page didn’t load Google Maps correctly. See the JavaScript console for technical details.”

I already consulted the search and found a post with the same error message though for the uCard theme. There it is suggested to replace code in the index.html. Though with this theme there is no index.html to be found .-)

Hi Oliver,
You need to go to appearance > theme options > general > paste Google Map Api Key and save it.
And you need to use map shortcode in the contact page, example;
[map latitude=”-25.363882″ longitude=”131.044922″ zoom=”4″]
If you still have issue, deactivate all your third party plugins and try it again.

Hi,
It says that your API project may have been deleted from the Google Cloud Platform Console.
https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/error-messages#deleted-api-project-map-error
You can create a new API project and get a new key on the Google Cloud Platform Console.
