    Is it possible to set a background color to the header on specific pages?

    I would like to avoid glitching / overlaping text when scrolling down

    You can use this custom css code for your portfolio page. 

    .page-template-page_template-portfolio-grid .header { background-color: #ff5f5f !important; }
