For some reason the featured image at my blog is always blurry. I’ve tried exporting an image to meet the exact dimensions of the image (930 x 620px) in case the issue was due to resizing but it doesn’t seem to fix the problem.
You can see the problem in the image I’ve uploaded here:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/s48c3da293l5dnc/Screen%20Shot%202017-05-20%20at%209.20.46%20AM.png?dl=0
Please view the image @ 100% to see the problem.
You can see the website at the left, how the image is slightly blurry. The image at the right is me viewing it full sized in Preview on my Mac.
Is there any way to fix this blurry issue? You can see all of the featured images at my website are slightly blurry:
Thanks so much for the help.
Hi,
I did not see a disturbing blurry issue on your related url. Some amount of blurry can occur because the photos are resized.
Alternatively, you can try running this plugin and regenerate all your images for once;
https://wordpress.org/plugins/regenerate-thumbnails/
ThanksThank you for the help! I tried regenerating thumbnails and that didn’t seem to fix the issue.
It’s hard to tell that the images are not as sharp as the files I upload, but they are definitely not.
What’s odd is that all the other images in the post are just as sharp as they should be, it’s just the featured image that is blurry. Is there any way to mimic the behavior of all the other images in the post with the featured image?
If you look at the screenshot at the link below (view @ 100%) you can see very clearly the image at left (the featured image for the post) is blurry:

I’d really like to resolve this issue! Your theme is absolutely wonderful in every other way.
Thanks!
Hi,
Wordpress reduces the size of the page slightly for quick loading. So it can cause the little sharpness issue but it is not disturbing the users. If you upload without resizing the image, it will affect your page load speed. I would recommend you to live with it.
Thanks
