Hi, I purchased this theme and attempted to follow the instructions to get it set up on my WordPress site at Hostinger, but was not able to get anywhere close, so I requested a refund within hours. However, I was just told that I cannot have a refund since I already downloaded it. (I’m confused when I would ever be allowed to get a refund.)

I was told, however, that pixelwars support would help with setup if I created a topic about it in the pixelwars forum, so here I am. It was this layout I was attempting to set up:

I wasn’t able to get anywhere even close to this on my stage site. Please let me know what you need from me in helping me get the theme set up. Thank you.

Hi, thank you but I have a few questions:

1. I’m not sure what that horrible font is where it says Drunk Ex-Pastors at the top. It certainly wasn’t what was in the demo as I never would have purchased it.

2. Like I mentioned, we have almost 500 episodes that we’re not going to go through and re-create. Are you telling me that this theme can’t be applied to our existing content? In that case, we can’t use the them. We can’t re-create every podcast post and every blog post, etc.

Hi,
1) We use the “This July” font for the logo. The same font is used for your demo. The only difference is that your entire logo looks that way because it is in uppercase.
Please go to dashboard > appearance > customize > site identity > you will able to change the title and fonts here.
2) You can go to tools > import > you will able to import your exiting content.

We cannot delete such information even by mistake. It has never happened to us before. You can contact your hosting company and get support for login.

Hi, unfortunately, despite what you have said, all of the users were deleted out of the database with your update except for pixelwars. Even when I went into the database with phpMyAdmin, there was only one user in the database (pixelwars). Anyway, I was finally able to get access to my site again.

For an individual podcast page, is SoundCloud the only way to show a player? We don’t publish our podcasts to SoundCloud.

Secondly, I cannot get the featured image to show on a podcast page. Would you please tell me what I’m doing wrong?

Thank you. As I had mentioned before, we have almost 500 episodes that are “posts” from our last theme. Is there a way to convert those? We can’t go back and enter each one 1 by 1. Thank you.

Go to All Export › New Export on the site, choose Posts, and WP All Export will update to show the number of posts it will export
But do you want to move the episodes under podcasting?

Hi. I’m not sure that we were using a podcast plugin. Our theme is Playcast (https://drunkexpastors.com/) and you just add a new post and you have three categories to choose from: “Podcasts”, “Blogs”, and “Uncategorized.”

Hi, without knowing the plugin name it is impossible to say if it is possible to migrate your posts and use them with Podcasty theme.

You can try to; activate Podcasty theme on your main site without de-activating any of your plugins and check if your episodes still working or not.

There was no podcast plugin. Podcasts on the Playcast theme (in the Genesis framework) just recognizes posts categorized as podcasts as podcasts.

So there’s no way to use my 500 posts that have their podcast link and featured image and all of that as podcasts on the Podcasty theme without re-entering them?

Hi, your previous theme should have done it with a plugin so that if you switch themes you can still keep your podcast posts functional. In that case, it makes it hard for you to switch to a new theme without hiring a wordpress code expert.

Ok, bummer. Well, this is one of the reasons I had originally asked for a refund within a few hours of purchasing the theme. I mentioned early on that I had almost 500 podcasts that I needed to be able to port over. Now I’ve spent weeks of back and forth, many hours on this, and am back where I started, not being able to use this theme, which is why I had originally asked for a refund. It’s a bummer that it’s impossible to purchase a theme from PixelWars and get a refund afterward. It’ll definitely make me more careful about purchasing from them or recommending anyone purchase from them again.

For digitally downloaded products, if there is an error that cannot be resolved by the developer in the theme, you are of course entitled to a refund. But here there is no module that does not work in the theme. If there is a different issue that we can help, we are ready to help gladly.
