Hi,

I have tried to get the intro video, or any featured page widget to work, but the option is in the customizer.

Per the documentation:
Go to: Appearance > Customize > Widgets > Featured Area

But here is a screenshot of what my menu looks like:

There is no Featured Area.

But I have made sure to add a Featured Area widget under:
Appearance > Widgets

And ensured that the widget is not inactive. I have also set the visibility to default, or to my specific page which is currently set as the theme’s static homepage. Any suggestions for turning on and using the featured area of TheBlogger theme?

Hi,
Please go to appearance > widgets > edit your page featured area
Then go to the homepage and activate the page featured area from the bottom right corner.

Thanks for the reply. What am I changing when I “go to appearance > widgets > edit your page featured area”? There are fields filled in currently, what changing when editing?

Then “go to the homepage”, where do I go exactly? I went to the specific page that is currently set as my static homepage, and on the right, the options are:
-Page Attributes
-Featured Image
-Sidebar
-Gallery type

So going to the specific page set as my homepage does not seem to be the option you are directing me to.

Looking forward to figuring this out, and really appreciate your help!

Just for reference, I did mess around with the visibility section Featured Page widget section. Leaving it default, setting it as my specific page, and also set it as the ‘front page’.

When modifying the Customizer, if you are on the blog page, the page featured area will not appear. You need to open your main page from the right side. Likewise, the blog featured area does not appear on the page. Make the change you want on the widget, as you send the attachment.
