while I was working on the website

I suddenly found this situation:

also if I did not inserted before any motification that could generated the issue.

Is this a known issue? I also noticed a blank space created by the height of this div (attached screenshot) but I don’t know how I could remove it (and the white strip between the hero and the first section).

the image cover is squared instead of cover all the page width
