Hello
I imported the sample data of the demo called “LISA”.
My website doesn’t look like Lisa at all.
I am starting with the Home Page.
I can’t find the Home Page of Lisa in the “PAGES” section in wordpress.
Where is it to edit it? I don’t understand how it works. The demo is supposed to help me have a ready template isn’t it?Please, what are the step to USE the HOME page of Lisa ?
Where is the page ?Enlighten please. It’s taking me forever and I configured and managed Blogs before.
Thank you so much !
UPDATE 2:
It doesn’t feel like the Import of the demo LISA was successful.
It doesn’t look like this at all: http://themes.pixelwars.org/theblogger/lisa/
The only pages I recognise are : Contact and About me. The others are missing.
How can I start over or fix the problem? I wasted already 2 hours.
Thank you for your help!Hi,
Please go to settings > reading > front page display > your latest post and save it.
Also, please provide me your related url so we can figure it out what is missing.
ThanksI actually updated both themes : Default and Lisa.
Everything was a mess in the menu. I had a double menu, and the home page was not Lisa’s homepage.Since the day I wrote my firt support ticket, I édited the menu and deleted the pages one by one. I did a manual clean-up playing with the “widgets”,and after a manual edit, I partially succeeded on making the home page look like the one of LISA.
But I think I am doing it all wrong. I am not supposed to play with all this to make it look alike. Even now, it’s still not alike. Look at the titles in the slider. They are small in comparison to those of the Lisa template which are bigger.I would like to know how to use properly the demo.
and :1-How do I switch from a theme to another without creating a mess with double pages and double menu like it did?
2- How do I go back and cancel uploading one theme (I don’t want Default anymore, I just want Lisa)?
3- Can I just start over?
3- Where are the template pages used in the theme?Thank you,
Hi,
this was already done:
settings > reading > front page display > your latest post and save it.Hi, The widget fields are fixed, even if you change themes. This is WordPress’s default feature. I see coming soon page when I enter the related url. So I could not figure out what was missing. If you want, you can send us your username and password via our contact form. You can only choose lisa demo via one click demo upload feature.
I also want my website to look like Lisa. I am not totally new to working with templates but I have no idea how to get at least my homepage to look like the Lisa demo. Nor can I find any steps to figuring out the grid layout with the photos and text overlay or simply how to have my menu be a drop down from the three bars on the left side. It shows this way while I am editing but is not this way when I publish. I am willing to pay someone to go into my blog and clean this up. It takes me HOURS and I get nowhere.
