In between the page featured area and the footer area ‘Latest from the blog’ is displayed with a list of the lastest posts. Is there a way to remove this from my homepage?

Hi,
You can create a custom page and add content according to your need and choose it as homepage.
Go to settings > reading > choose your custom page as homepage and save it.
You don’t need to remove it from your homepage.
