Hello,
I have created additional buttons on my course landing page that say “register now”
How do I link these buttons to the checkout page for my course?
Hi,
I just checked your register button and you already solved the issue i guess because it took me to the checkout page.
ThanksHello,
When people click the “register now” button, it takes them to the checkout page but it says “there are currently no items in your cart”
How do I ensure that when people click “register now” the course gets added to their cart automatically?
Thank you!
Hi, You have directed the “register now” button to the checkout page. Plugin does not allow to add the product to the shopping chart from this page. As an example, you can check the url below;
http://themes.pixelwars.org/efor/demo-03/courses-2/
When you add to the shopping chart on this related url, you will go to your page if you click on the button you just mentioned. The feature which you mentioned is not possible by default here.
ThanksHello,
I need to include multiple buttons on my course page so that people can register. Is there another way I can do this? Or, can I program my “register now” buttons to immediately bring people to the bottom of my page where they can purchase?
Can the developer help with this?
Thank you very much!
Hi,
You can direct the Register now button to the course page where they will purchase the courses. Add the relevant url of that page.
ThanksHello,
The “Register Now” button is on the page where they will purchase the course.
I need the register now button to send people to the shopping cart with the course added.
I’ve added a screen shot below along with a link to the page.
Thanks!
Hi,
I will forward this topic to our developer and i will keep you updated.
ThanksThank you very much!
Hello,
I wanted to see if the developer has had a chance to take a look?
I am launching my website tomorrow and want to make sure my buttons are working properly :)
Hi, you need to update your register buttons target URL as;
http://yourdomain.com/checkout/?add-to-cart=124
where 124 is the course ID. You can find your course ID by navigating to LearnPress > Courses and hover any course title, on the bottom left you will see the
?post=124.Cheers.
Hello,
Thank you very much. When I hover over the course title, I’m not seeing the the Course ID number in the bottom left. Is there another way to find out my Course ID number?
just edit the course and check the URL for the post id, it should look like
?post=124Hello,
I have found the Course ID!
However, when I add the target URL with the Course ID it still takes me to an empty cart.
Also – I’ve just realized that the “buy this course” button at the bottom of the page (the one that came with the template) is not working. It used to work.. but now it just reloads the page rather than taking users to the checkout cart.
Thank you so much for your help, you have been wonderful! I’ve added a screen shot below along with a link to my page. I am launching my website today so it will be very helpful to have this running properly! Thanks again.
I can also send you login details if that would be helpful.
Thank you so much!
Hello,
I was able to fix the “buy this course” button at the bottom of the page.
But still having difficulty with the pink “register now” buttons on the page. They direct users to an empty course even when I use the correct Course ID.
I put the Target URL in the Link Field (see screen shot), is this the correct field to place the code in?
Hi, again, yes you got it right with the button URLs.
– I have just logged in to your dashboard, you had multiple checkout pages I deleted the clones and reassigned the Checkout page from Learnpress settings, now it seems to be working fine.
Cheers.
Hello,
Oh I do not know how I created multiple checkout pages.
I’ve updated all of the button URLs but it is still taking me to an empty cart. I’ve attached the screenshot below for you.
When I clear my cache the pink buttons lead users to an empty cart (But the button that says “buy this course” at the very bottom of the page seems to be working).
Hi again, I see the issue, I guess that checkout with id link works with WooCommerce add-on for LearnPress only;
https://thimpress.com/product/woocommerce-add-on-for-learnpress/
As an alternative, I just edited your course page in Elementor and added an empty section at the bottom of your page and set an id from Advanced > CSS ID = register, then I have changed your register button URLs to “#register”, now when the user clicks any of the register buttons the page scrolls down to the bottom where the actual “Buy this course” button lays.
Hello,
This is fantastic, works great now.
Thank you again, your support has been much appreciated!
I do have one last question for you regarding my course listing page. There are two buttons on this page that say “buy this course” and I’m hoping there is a way for me to change this text to say “learn more” and have the user go directly to the course details page (rather than to the checkout page).
Your colleague recommended I use the Loco Translate feature, but I haven’t been able to get this working. Hoping there is an easier way to update this.
Hi Ahmet,
I am so sorry – but I think I accidentally saved a new version of the below page and it erased the empty section at the bottom of the page and the ID that you set up. My apologies, I did not realize that saving this new version would erase the work you did.
If it’s not too much trouble, are you able to update this page to ensure the pink “register now” buttons take people to the bottom of the page? Thank you so much again.
no worries, I have just re-added it, Elementor also saves page revisions that you can revert back to previous saves;
https://docs.elementor.com/article/104-history
– loco translate is the proper way to change the texts,
– unfortunately, Learnpress doesn’t have a feature to allow the buttons to navigate to course page instead of buying the course, you may suggest this feature to the plugin author;
https://wordpress.org/plugins/learnpress/
Thanks.
Thank you very much for all of your help!
Is it possible for me to remove the buttons that say “buy this course” on the course listing page? I will also send the author an email and recommend this new feature.
Thank you again!
Hi,
You can use this custom css code for removing the buttons on the course listing page;.lp-archive-courses .lp-course-buttons { display: none; }Thanks
Thank you both so much!
Is there a way I can leave a review for you two? You have been such a big help to me.
I can’t thank you enough!
You’re welcome, please don’t forget to rate the theme on themeforest if you liked it, thanks.
