Hi, i tried to make some space between the edge of browser and the header,

I tried this CSS,

.header{margin-top:1em;margin-left:10%; margin-right:10%;}

the margin-top worked, though the margin of the two sides make the header move to the right. How to make the menu and title still stick to the center? well i just want to make the header background smaller.

Sorry to confuse you.
I mean actually I want to set the margin of the whole webpage, i want to make some space between the content of the page (including the header and all content) and the edge of browser, does that make sense?
