Alright so I just bought the theme and installed it. I am just struggling to get the files and everything working for the roger theme. I did what I thought was uploading the xml files for it, and am just trying to figure out how to get it to look like the live preview. is there any specific steps I am missing beside uploading the roger xml files? I figure somewhere there is a menu for selecting roger that I am missing. Or should I specifically have chosen the child/parent theme to be able to do this? I am not a wordpress expert but I have made a few sites so far. Im hoping there may be a step by step guide of some sort that could help me. I basically want to replicate the roger design and then customize posts and pages from there.

Hi,
There is not any specific design for roger theme. You should upload the xml file according to documentation and just choose the roger theme from customizer. You don’t need to create child theme if yo don’t need to change the theme files. I would recommend you to read the documentation in the theme file. Ok I followed all the documentation and have this looking somewhat like the roger template, but it is missing a lot. Below the main menu bar is just random titles and it is missing all the characteristics of the live preview except the basic recent blog feed that is lower on the page of the live preview. How can I get all of the other aspects of the live preview to come to life? Is there something I am doing wrong? Basically how do I get all the other aspects (carousel, about me blurb, subscribe on the sidebar, the instagram widget at the bottom, etc) in the right place and setup just as the preview?

Is there a proper way to install and setup so that it is all setup like the live preview? or is it all put together manually piece by piece?

Hi, The password you gave is still not working. Very rarely, some users are IP protected. It does not allow a connection from a remote point. You can deactivate the plugins and create a new user for me. It does not seem possible to determine what is missing without logging in to the admin panel.

I’ve been modifying the site over the past week or so, and just now I went to delete some of the unnecessary pages, and when I did the website theme basically dissappeared. Maybe it was because I deleted the page titled ‘shortcodes’?. Anyways, I restored all the pages immediately and the website still looks wrong. If I can solve this on my on let me know, if not, I just re-activated the admin account I had for you previously in case you need to take a look. Thanks.

Hi, I could not login to the site with old admin information. It says wrong password. Well, first of all, please update the theme again. If you mistakenly delete the master files it will come back.

Hi,
I just deactivated your minify plugin and it looks better now. Minify plugin interferes with theme files and prevents them from loading.

I believe the last questions I will have for awhile are the following:

How do I hide all of the ‘visited _ number of times today” text from every page and post. I would also love to know how to disable comments, as I may do that later as well.

And how to I remove the unnecessary social icons from the author profiles. I notice for example, that each author has icons for every social platform, even though most are irrelevant.

Hi,
Go to plugins and edit Top 10 Settings and uncheck “Show number of views to non-admins” box.
Go to settings > discussion > disable comments on articles. Also individually, you can edit posts and at the bottom, you can see discussion box. You may disable comments on each article.
Go to appearance > widgets > author social media icons. You can manually edit the social icons for the author.

I just read through and found out about custom fonts, but how do i upload a font i have downloaded? do i download a plugin and upload the zip file? I just want to use a specific font for the title
