the plugin I recommend this is installed but it doesn’t show up anywhere. Do I have to add this code somewhere in the theme files?

I tried to add this to a recipe

but it came up like this [dot_recommends]

Do I have to do anything else?

Hi @Paulz
You just need to activate it. You don’t need to use php or shortcode.
Then go to dashboard > appearance > customize > meta > blog meta > like > activate it.

I recommend this plugin is working in the blog pages. See the example below;

But I didn’t see any feature for the recipe plugin. Recipe plugin author should add a feature for this.
I search it but no they are not supporting that plugin yet.
