When I create a Child Theme, I lose some "Oliver" customization.

    Hello,

The “Oliver” UX has some features that I like: https://themes.pixelwars.org/theblogger/oliver/

Some of them, like the yellow highlighting underneath sidebar text, disappears once I activate the Child Theme, however. This happens whether I use pixelwars’s supplied child theme, or create one on my own.

Why is that? Also, can I get the full “Oliver” look, as on the above link, through the theme’s native customization features alone?

EDIT: I was just looking around, and realized that “TheBlogger” is its own stand-alone theme, and that “Oliver Bold” is also a stand-alone theme that can be purchased? I thought TheBlogger was advertised as a collection of 15 themes/styles, as a “shapeshifting” theme?

What would I be getting from the standalone Oliver Bold that I’m not getting from my purchase of TheBlogger? Is it more customization? Oliver Bold was the only part of TheBlogger package that I was interested in. Would I be able to do an exchange?

Hi, Theblogger theme has different demo contents in itself. You can install and activate one click demo import plugin once and achieve the related demo style.

The other oliver theme you mentioned is one that is sold separately. But you can use the oliver style included in theblogger theme.
Also, you can go to appearance > customize > you are able to customize the theme according to your taste.
    Thanks
