I just got the theme, and it would be awesome if I would be able to have infinite scroll on the blog page, so that you don’t have this ginormous page with only 6 posts on there that scrolls forever and loads everything. I just think it would look nicer and work better. Thanks!
Hi eabrouwer3,
I have a solution for you. First of all, you need to install this plugin;
https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-infinite-scrolling/
After that, go to plugin’s settings. Add the settings that I will tell you below.Enable infinite scrolling
Post container selector = .layout-fixed
Post selector = .hentry
Pagination selector = .navigation
Next link selector = .nav-previous a
and save changes.
In this way; you will add the infinite scroll feature to the regular blog structure. Thanks! That worked. Any idea how to lower the amount of posts shown on that page at a time?
Hi,
Please go to settings > reading > set up your post count and save it.
ThanksThanks. It all works now.
You’re welcome, please don’t forget to rate the theme on themeforest if you liked it, thanks.
I’ve got the same issue with Infinite Scroll….have implemented the same plugin and tried using the same parameters with no success…I don’t believe my classes are the same as the ones you’ve suggested….here is the page to reference …please advise
Hi @tspaight
You can try to deactivate your third party plugins and try it again. I can not say anything from here without admin panel. Also you can search an alternative plugin for this feature.
ThanksHi Serkan,
I deactivated the plugin and then reactivate it and it worked – before it broke again after a few minutes of clicking around on the site. So deactivating and then activating doesn’t help. The left menu disappears if I click on any of the projects:

Blog Infinite Scroll: I followed your instructions above to the letter and unfortunately it doesn’t work.

I just want the left nav on the portfolio page and infinite scroll on the blog page. I’d be much obliged if you can help.
Hi,
I will discuss this topic with our developers and I will keep you updated.
Thanks for your patience. Thanks Serkan! I appreciate it. I look forward to hearing back.
Hi, sadly the plugin won’t work on ajax pages (latest blog posts and latest portfolio posts on your homepage), but it may work for the standalone blog page.
Cheers.
Hi Ahmetsali,
How do I make infinite scroll work for ‘standalone blog page?’ What is the standalone blog page and how would I set it up to work with infinite scroll?
Also, how do I get the left navigation menu back? It appears on the portfolio page – but then disappears if I click on any of the portfolio items.
Kind regards,
Tracy
Hi Tracy,
You can search and install a plugin for infinite scroll feature.
Can you test the back button in our demo website as well?
ThanksHi Serkan,
I’ve installed two different plugins for infinite scroll. Neither solved the problem and I had to roll back my site.
I sought help from my brother-in-law, who builds websites on wordpress for a living. He was unable to make it work either.
Ahmetsali suggested that I could make the ‘stand alone’ blog work with infinite scroll. How, exactly, can I do this?
The back button in the demo website worked when I first set up the site. I can’t seem to get it to work on the portfolio page. Any suggestions much appreciated.
Kind regards,
Tracy
Hi Tracy,
Do you mean that close button is not working?
Please go to your widgets page then just click to the save button of the portfolio widget.
If you still have the issue then deactivate all your plugin and try it again.
He means you need to deactivate the ajax layout and switch to the classic layout. But I don’t recommend you to use the infinite feature. This structure is also quite useful.
ThanksHi team,
I deactivated Ajax. As far as I can tell, the site is now in classic layout. I am still unable to have more than 9 posts in the blog before it dumps the overflow into ‘portfolio 2’ – along with all the portfolio items. Ugh.

Click on the see all posts and you’ll see what I mean. I ONLY want blog posts on this page but can’t figure out how to do that.
Next, if you go to portfolio:
https://tracyspaight.com/#/portfolio
Click on any of the portfolio items, and the left nav disappears. I can’t seem to fix this.
At this point, I’m happy to hire someone from pixel wars to fix it, if anyone is available?
Kind regards,
Tracy
Hi Tracy,
Could you add your username and password for the related url. I will check your dashboard?
Please use the private content box below.
Showing more than 9 item is not available by default, needs more further customizations, if you are not familiar to coding you may consider hiring an expert at wpkraken.io to do the job for you.
Thanks
