I have attempted to use a few different Instagram plugins to have a feed from a specific Instagram account show. None of them work. The specific plugin I would like to use is the most common one: “10Web Social Photo Feed” which is formerly known as “WD Instagram Feed.”
I contacted support for the plugin, and they informed me that there’s an error with this theme specifically, hence why none of the other Instagram plugins seem to work. The error is “Uncaught (in promise) DOMException: play() failed because the user didn’t interact with the document first.” (Full error with web address is in the “Private Content” section of this ticket). Please let me know how / what to change to fix this bug. Thank you.
I have only recently been able to try the solution you provided, but it unfortunately does not work. If I add the widget or shortcode from the plugin you said to use, it does not work. If I hit “preview page” from the page editor, it works no problem. However, when published, it does not work properly. What I discovered is that the plugin only shows images when using a direct URL to go to the page (ie. http://www.mywebsite.com/instagram) but will not work if I go to (www.mywebsite.com) and then click “instagram” to end up at (www.mywebsite.com/#/instagram). You can play around with that and see what I am talking about using the link provided in the private content section. If users can only see the instagram feed when using a direct link and are unable to use the theme as intended, it would be quite the waste.
Hi, on the homepage, sub page’s content is fetched via Ajax, so any element which requires extra JavaScript to work won’t work on your homepage, sorry but there is nothing we can do about it because of the limitation of the Ajax fetched page nature.
