When I preview portfolio items in the backend the main menu displays with – Home, Back & Search. This menu does seem to display normally in the front-end. Is it possible to customise and display the main menu when viewing portfolio items?

Hi,
The menu for the inner pages is different from the main menu. We did it for a purpose. Visitors can search easily what they need to. You can not customize the menu for the single blog posts and portfolio items. It is how the theme works.

I understand the menu for the inner pages is different from the main menu,
and I am happy not to customise it.
But – It only shows when I preview from the admin interface, it is not showing in the public site.
How do I get (the default menu for the portfolio inner pages) to display?

Hi,
If you go to appearance > theme options > style > classic navigation menu > yes
Your custom menu will appear in the inner pages without icons.
