I want to start my blog about learning topics in a few weeks. During the “opening period” I would like to keep the “Welcome/New Blog-Post” on the start page. There is an extra check-box for that in the admin area. But when I click the check box, the post is no longer visible at all. Is there any trick, any setting I need to consider? Please help .. and yes I am a rookie with wordpress. It might be a simple reason ..

Hi,
You can set the post as sticky post after that go to customizer and go to blog and include sticky post and save it.
