I’d like to limit the number of sticky post displayed in homepage, but keeping the Slider preview.
It’s not about the number of posts in general, but the sticky ones.

Hi,
It is not possible by default. You can keep all your sticky posts in the slider and hide the sticky posts from the homepage.
Please go to appearance > theme options > main slider > activate ( exclude sticky post from blog )

Hi Serkan, would there also be the possibility to have the sticky post not on the top of the hompage, so to have the normal timeline when the post have been uploaded, as the sticky post always stay on top. I would love to keep them on the homepage side but, not always on top, because they are shown on the slider anyway. I would love to have the last uploaded post on top instead of the sticky post, without losing the post in the slider shown on the website as well. Thank you very much.

Hi Nathalie,
For now, we have two options include and exclude from blog page. When you unchecked the sticky post feature, you post will ve visible on timeline. Sorry it is not available by default and it requires more time and effort to customization, if you are not familiar to coding you may consider hiring an expert at envato studio.
