I’m using the Milo style of The Blogger and a the child theme. I’ve found the MailChimp widget doesn’t inherit the theme’s style when using the child theme. Is there a quick way to fix this?
You can see how it looks goofy on the sidebar of iwilldare.com.
Hi,
This custom css code will fix the visual problem. You are using widget title, that is why it looks like different..sidebar .mc4wp-form p:last-of-type { text-align: center; } aside#mc4wp_form_widget-6 .widget-title { margin-bottom: -8px; }Thanks
Even if i take out the widget title and add the custom CSS, the form still does not look like it does on the Milo demo. It’s not picking up the “SUBSCRIBE YOUR E-MAIL ADDRESS AND GET TO KNOW ABOUT FRESH STUFF!” text in either the sidebar widget or the footer widget.
Hi jodiwilldare,
Please read the documentation. Go to plugins section. You can find detailed information about the MailChimp plugin.
ThanksI did exactly as the documentation said. Pasted the form code from the PDF into the Form area in MailChimp for WP, chose “Inherit from TheBlogger Child Theme” in the appearance section and it still doesn’t appear like the demo.
Is there something else I can try? Both the sidebar and footer MailChimp widget isn’t displaying properly.

Hi jodiwilldare,
I just forwarded this topic to our developer. He will get back to you soon.
Thanks for your patience.Hi, I just logged in to your admin and everything seems fine with the mailchimp settings, i suspect this might be a plugin conflict issue, can you disable all of your plugins except Mailchimp for WordPress, and check again.
I deactivated all the plugins except for MailChip and the form still doesn’t appear the way it does in the demo. It doesn’t pull the “Subscribe your e-mail address and get to know about fresh stuff!” text, and in the footer widget the email address is on the left and the sign-up button is centered.
Any other ideas on what I can do to fix this?
Hi again, I just checked your settings and everything seems fine, however somehow “Mailchimp Sign-up Form” widget is not getting the form markup from the plugin settings however it should, this looks like a plugin issue, you can create a new topic about it in the plugin support forum here;
https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/mailchimp-for-wp/
I believe the plugin author can help you about this issue. For your topic content, you may write this “Mailchimp Sign-up Form” widget is not getting the form markup from the plugin settings”.
