Making sure the portfolio page images are showing in the same dimensions

    Hi there

Thank you for creating a brilliant theme.

I have created the portfolio at https://www.judewacks.com/portfolio/
and really like the theme, but my question is looking at the portfolio section, how do I ensure all the images shown there are the same dimensions and even. On your demo they are all same dimensions and look perfect, so trying to work out what may be incorrect.

I’ve looked at the FAQ section but it doesn’t seem to provide the information or I am not understanding correctly.

Can you take a look and perhaps can offer me some advice as to why the images are not same dimensions.

Also when on the portfolio page how do you move the portfolio categories around. For example. Portraits is showing as on the first line, but how to I make it appear on the second or even as the last. In the drop down navigation menu, I was able to move it but can’t seem to find a way to do it here.

    thanks again!

    Hi @bunder
We prepared all the photos in 760px 507px resolution. This creates a more organized structure. Some of your photos are vertical, some of them are horizontal. You will have a nice image if you are preparing all of them in a certain format.
Change the publishing date of a portfolio item so you can change the portfolio order.
    Thanks

    thank you.
So if I resize all the images as 760px x 507px in photoshop that should make them all look correct.

This sounds great for those images that are vertical but what about horizontel, what is the optimised size you recommend?

I’ve seen on some other sites, people have the images as 1920×1280. Even on your demo it seems to be 1920×1280 as well.

    Also, I see this image

    http://themes.pixelwars.org/photographer/portfolio/outdoor/#&gid=1&pid=6

which has a zoom as well into it, how do you choose to show images with the zoom, how do you do it.

    thanks

Hi, If the width is 760px min, it will not be a problem. It will look nice as long as you adjust the horizons in the same order and vertices in the same order.
Create a portfolio gallery and choose photo gallery type under detail box which is located on the right-hand side of the portfolio item. Then click to add media button, choose to create gallery options, upload your images, choose the link to media file and size medium and save it.
By doing so, you will have zoomable images.
    Thanks

thank you so, if width is 760px for each image and minimum 507px, then it should be fine. So I can have it larger than those two dimensions and it will resize perfectly?

Also the options for photo gallery type, which one should be ticked to show the images as zoom. Is it just Photo Galleery and will that also automaically put in the left and right hours to move forward and backwards.

    Standard
    Photo Gallery
    Photo Gallery 2
    Photo Gallery 3

    thanks

    Hi @bunder
You can upload larger dimensions as well. It will automatically resize it but try to upload same dimensions so they will look nicer in a column.
I will give you example url for each type of portfolio so you can understand how they work.
    Standard: portraits
    Photo Gallery: above
    Photo Gallery 2: venice-sun
    Photo Gallery 3: people
    Thanks

    Hi, if your images are larger than 760px 507px both in width and height it should be fine, you can also try to run regenerate thumbnails plugin once if you have uploaded your photos prior to activating Photographer theme;
