Missing Symbols on Social Media Icons

    I’ve noticed this week that my social media icons are not working properly. There are missing symbols on the buttons that link to my facebook and twitter. For example, there is a blank button, and when you hover over it, it turns blue, but there is not “t” for twitter or “f” for facebook. If you clink on the link, it still connects me to the page though.

    Any idea why this might be happening? I’ve tried re-entering my URL in the social media section of theme settings, but it makes no difference.

    Here is my website: http://www.joellegebhardt.com

    I am having the same problem. I just added a Tumblr link, and the Tumblr “T” shows up, but the other circles have no icons within them.

    Anyone managed to fix this yet?…

    I can’t figure out where it was getting the images from before…

    Figured out the fix myself.

    It seems that the file social.png was targeted as a malware file. So files with the word social in (i.e. I also tried social1.png) will not load.

    If you change the file to something complete different ie. kiwi01.png

    Also update the reference to it in your main.css file and voila it works.

    OH and remember to clear your browsers cache.

    @sabbyno6

    you have missing this file on your server, upload it to your server and it should be fine;

    @draper3000 thank you so much for figuring that out!

    Here’s the bad news– I can use WordPress back end, but know only a small bit about coding and how to navigate the site’s architecture beyond the WordPress menus.

    I’ll ask a friend at work to help me with it and let you know if it works…
