I changed “Portfolio” word to “Clients” on the parent page / url – but the individual portfolio posts retain that parent URL structure (www.mysite.com/portfolio/123)

Can we have them auto inherit the parent “portfolio” page url?

Hi, this is not available by default, needs more further customizations. If you are not familiar to coding you may consider hiring an expert to do the job for you.

yeah looks like trying to edit the custom post type permalink via a plugin like “Simple Post Type Permalinks” – nukes both the individual post page as well as the parent page :/

so everything is tied to the /portfolio/ URL slug.

Hi, Changing the URL structure can cause some problems. So you can change the menu name but leave the url structure the same.
