Modify theme so it is safe for updates

    Do you have a recommended means for modifying this theme so that it is responsive to future updates, but keeps the modifications? Thanks. These modifications are PHP, not CSS.

    Hi,

    All theme modification should be done by using child themes not editing the theme files directly. http://codex.wordpress.org/Child_Themes
