Is it possible to remove both the image and name text on the left navigation menu and have the navigation menu from the top left (beginning where the image is now)
Please see cjalderton.com for my example.

hi! thank you – your informations above helped me to remove navigation text; but only on large screens. how can i do this also for mobile devices – but therefore showing the navigation image (= logio) i loaded up therefore? website link in private content box below … thank you!

Hi,
You should go to appearance > theme options > upload an image logo.
Appearance > customize > site identity > remove text logo and save it.
