But how do I create a gallery where I can move between projects using the next button as seen in the galleries of the photographer theme?

Hi MikaChara,
You don’t need to create arrows, it comes by default. It is a portfolio page. You have to create portfolio items for that. Please read the portfolio section in the documentation.
