The text on the “OPEN” banner on the front cover is not displaying correctly in Chrome on OSX. The N is getting cut off. It doesn’t do this in Safari, Firefox, etc.
I just updated it to the latest version and it completely destroyed the layout of my site. Everything I liked about Bookcard was gone… the portfolio pages no longer worked, the blog posts were of a different style, navigation was broken, it was a mess. I just put it back to 4.8.1 because otherwise I would have to rebuild everything from scratch.
The new version is unusable for me. All I want to know is which CSS or JS code I need to fix in order to get the OPEN button to work properly in Chrome in version 4.8.1.
Hi jimclark509,
The new structure is actually more useful. Blog styles have been prepared in a more up-to-date structure.
Appearance> page> you need to select and save related pages from this section. If you do not like the new style, I’ll mention the changing part below.
changed files
– css/main.css
– css/book.css
– js/main.js
– js/jquery.isotope.min.js
– js/antiscroll.js
– js/twitterFetcher_v10_min.js
You can find them in the theme folder.
Thanks
I replaced that file with the newer one and it seems to be working now. Thank you.
Just so you know, I am sticking with 4.8.1 because the newer version breaks several things about my site that I like… the blog post format being one of them.
