Overlay image on mobile display buggy

    Hi,

I’m using Overlay (Full) for my single posts and when testing on mobile, the featured image is buggy. Tried it on the Lisa demo as well as my own install with Mobile Zoom off (not sure what that Customizer option does either, could you explain please?)

iPhone user agent: image loads at viewport width and parallax does not work
Non-iPhone user agent: image loads at viewport height

Could this be made consistent please? And with an option whether to have the parallax effect or not? I would prefer my site to look like the iPhone user agent scenario.

    Thank you.

Hi, I tested the overlay full option on our demo site on many iPhone devices and did not encounter any problems.
Could you please provide me your related url and tell me what is your test platform on iPhone and which ios and which mobile model?
In the meantime, would you test our demo site on your own device as well?

Hi, my site is in staging unfortunately so I can’t share. I can’t do GIFs but here are screenshots:

You can see the image size is different, when I test the iPhone user agent doesn’t have the parallax effect after a Ctrl-F5. Maybe the browser testing is inaccurate?

Either way, is it possible to add in any custom code to stop the parallax/image zoom on this title style? Thanks!

    Hi,

    – the plugin we use for the parallax feature wasn’t working nice on ios devices so parallax is off for ios devices. However the parallax plugin got an update now and it supports parallax on iOs devices too, we will update the plugin so the overlay post styles will have consistency with various devices.

    – an option to disable parallax for overlay posts? sounds reasonable, I am adding this to the update list too ;)

    Thanks for the feedback.
