Hi there,
Quick question…
How could I stop the photos from password protected portfolios to be shown at index page.
E.g. http://photographer.gr/optimized/gr
Hi Thanos Bantis,
You should create two different departments for the portfolio page. One of them for your public images and the other one for your clients. You should add your client’s password protected galleries to this department. And choose the portfolio departments for the public images.
If search engines indexed your site prior to adding a password, your site will appear in search results until it’s indexed again. If you upload a file to a page before setting a password, the file may continue to be indexed after setting the password. To protect files from indexing, we recommend removing these files and re-uploading after the page password is set.
Thanks
Hi Serkan.
I created a new department and called it “private”.
I removed all photos from the password protected portfolios and updated.
I permanently deleted all these client photos from the media library.
I changed the department for these client portfolios to the new one called “private” and updated.
I uploaded the photos back to the media library and added them to the already made password protected portfolios.
However, problem remains. Did I skip a step or did something wrong?
