Hello!
I created two parent departments for using them as two different portfolio pages and added it to menu. Then I added some sub departments and portfolio items for it.
The problem: when I go to some portfolio page (parent department) theme shows me all porfolio items from this parent department and the other one together on one page and does not separate them from each other.
I did not find the answer on forums. Hope you can help me with this issue.

Create parent departments. They will be your different portfolio pages. And create sub departments for your parent departments. These will be your portfolio filters.

Go to Appearance > Menus. Open the Departments box from the Screen Options panel.

Add your parent departments to your menu. These are portfolio pages.

Add new portfolio items to your sub departments.

I made it with all instructions but it still doesn’t work correctly. I made parent departments Cats and Dogs for example. Then I created two sub depatrtments for Cats and two for Dogs. After that I added parent departments to menu and created portfolio items for sub departments. When I go to menu > Dogs theme shows me dogs and cats together and the same for Cats department. When I click on filters it works fine. You can see it on these screenshots:

Hi! Thanks a lot! I have updated the theme and departments work good now. But I have other problem: Back to portfolio button does not direct me to parent department. It directs me to my old page that i used as portfolio (it is deleted and does not exist any more). I dont know what to do, maybe problem is on my side. Still trying to find the reason.
