Hi,
I am very new to wordpress (this is the first theme I have ever bought) so my sincerest apologies in advance if my questions have obvious answers or they don’t make sense.
Question 1: Post Alignment on the Homepage
I just published my first post and when I go to the URL of that post: https://culturecanteen.com/making-tua-nao/ the alignment of the text is centred which is what I want. However, on the home page (www.culturecanteen.com) on desktop the text alignment is ‘left’. I have tried everything to fix it but I can’t seem to figure it out. Could someone help?Question 2: Showing A Summary of Posts on the Homepage
On my homepage my first post continues to the end. I would like it to just show a preview of the post. I tried going to Settings>General>Reading then selecting ‘Summary’ option for each posts’ appearence in a feed. But this didn’t work.Question 3: Changing the font caption on images
I can’t seem to change the font size or font style of the captions on my images. If you look at my blog post you can see that the font size of the captions on the inline media is the same size as the body text. I would also like to centre the alignment of the captions as they are currently left.Any help is much appreciated.
Thank you.
Daniel
Hi Daniel,
1) Please go to appearance > theme options > blog > blog-type no sidebar and save it. The right side is the widget sidebar area. You haven’t added anything to the widget, but because it is active, space appears.
2) Please go to dashboard > appearance > theme options > Automatic Excerpt > choose yes and save it.
3) You can use this custom css code;
.wp-block-image figcaption { text-align: center; font-size: 12px; }
Go to appearance > theme options > style > custom css > copy and paste the code here.
ThanksThanks so much Serkan this worked brilliantly.
One follow up question: Is is possible to use images as the excerpts to posts, as opposed to text? E.g. on the homepage there is a feed of my blog post headings and underneath each heading is an image. If one is to click on the image it will direct to the full blog post.
Is this possible?
Thanks,
Dan
Hi Dan,
It is not possible by default. We have three different blog layout. You can see them under home menu. As an alternative, you can try to use masonry layout.

ThanksThanks Serkan.
I just changed tthe blog layout to Masonry and the excerpts are still 100% text.
is there any workaround where I can get the excerpt to be at least an image AND text, or, just the image? This is very important for me.
Kind regards,
Dan
Hi Dan,
Could you provide me your wp admin details via our private content box below?
ThanksHi,
When you edit your post, on the right hand side, there is featured image box. You should add featured image and save it.Thanks very much for your help Serkan – this worked perfectly.
