Hi there,

I’m having a problem accessing the customization render preview. When trying to view the “widget” tab to change the social media header icons, I keep being asked to log in: “your session has expired, please log in to continue where you left off.” Each time I enter my info, I get the same message over and over asking me to log in.

Appearance -> Customization -> Widgets -> (render preview, login)

What the heck is going on here?

Hi KookieB,

– Deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

– Switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

– Resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

– Re-uploading the wp-admin and wp-includes folders from a fresh download of WordPress.
