I’m trying to follow the documentation instructions. However

Go to: Settings > Reading. Select homepage and blog page. (DONT SEE OPTION TO SELECT HOMEPAGE AND BLOG PAGE)

Go to: Appearance > Menus. Select theme location for the imported custom menu. (DONT SEE OPTION TO SELECT THEME LOCATION

I can get to these locations but the end options seem to be different from the screenshots.

I’ve erased all of my pages and the theme to start with a clean installation and i’m still having problems.

Please help!

Hi fozzy40,
First of all, I would recommend you to import dummy data. You can find information about it in the documentation. Please activate the theme and import the dummy data.

I was able to import the theme but I get stuck at the points listed above. I just don’t seem to have those options listed.

Can you please take a look and tell me if I’ve at least imported the zip correctly?

Hi,
You didn’t import the zip file correctly.
Go to: Tools > Import > WordPress.
WordPress might offer you to install the WordPress Importer plugin, if you haven’t installed it before do it now.
Install and activate the plugin.
Once you’ve installed WordPress Importer plugin, browse to the package folder, select XML data file under Sample Data folder and upload it.
Go to: Appearance > Menus. Select theme location for the imported custom menu.
You will get exactly the same like demo.

So the file I’m uploading is titled “readme.wordpress.2015-11-15.” It then gives me the option to assign authors which I’m leaving blank. I then move down and check the box that says “download and import file attachments.” After hitting submit I get the following:

I have also tried deactivating and deleting the theme. Uploading the “readme” zip and I get to the same point.
