Hello !

I have a few questions regarding the Lahanna theme. If you visit my website you can see the little things I couldn’t set up.
I have updated to WordPress 5.3 and I use the Lahanna Child Style 3 theme. I can’t customize the theme properly because of these errors. I tried to delete and reupload the theme, but it won’t work either. I encountered the following:

1. The slider only shows post names, the post photos won’t appear. I can only see the pictures of the categories below.
2. The popular post thumbnails in the sidebar instead of being all three perfect circles, some are oval.
3. Below the post there is the “You may also like” section, and there is the same issue as with the slider, the photos won’t appear, you can only see the post names.
4. In the footer there is “Never miss a recipe” widget and it’s not clickable, it’s just the text. Not sure what I do wrong there, please advise.
5. How can I change the names of the categories below the slider ? I can’t seem to find that setting anymore.

Hello again !

I have sent you the admin details privately 3 weeks ago, but I haven’t received an answer yet. Can you please reply ? I wanted to relaunch my website, but the pictures aren’t showing up, and it looks wrong. I have already tried to deactivate all the third party plugins and it didn’t work. Hi Ana Maria,

We didn’t get your wp-admin details before, maybe something went wrong while sending the message, sorry about that.

Before you proceed to the next steps, I recommend you optimize the images you have uploaded to your site, they are enormous in size and not optimized for the web at all, such as I came across a jpg image which is about 1.3mb which is huge it should be around 100kb when optimized. This fix will improve your page loading speed dramatically. You may use the plugin below to bulk optimize your images in WordPress;

1-) Your posts don’t have any featured image set, instead, you have added them in the post content in the first paragraph, you just need to set a featured image for each of your posts, I have just set a featured image for one of your posts and it appears on the slider.

2-) You just need to install, activate and run Regenerate Thumbnails plugin once to fix the oval images issue;

3-) fixing #1 will also fix this automatically.

4-) I have just removed the widget “Mailchimp Sign-up Form” widget from the “Footer Subscribe” widget area and added it again, now it shows the form and it is accessible.

5-) They are called LinkBox and you can edit them from Customizer > Widgets > Blog Featured Area and edit the LinkBox widgets shown there.

Thank you do much for your quick answer. The pictures are huge indeed, I have installed Smush, and will set it uo tomorrow. I did as you said, and set up featured images for all the posts in the slider, and now it looks amazing. I’m so happy !
As far as the Regenerate Thumbnails widget, I already had it, so I tried to remove it and install it back, then activate it, but one of the images on the right is still oval. Am I doing something wrong? Also where can I change the number of posts showing in the “You May Also Like” section, under a post ?

Hi, you need to Run “Regenerate Thumbnails” plugin after you have activated it as shown in the image below;

Please go to appearance > customize > single post > related post count.
