How do you make the search box disappear on the template “full width”

Go to Theme Settings > Blog > Disable Search Module In The Full Width Page Template

That checkbox is to hide the search module.

Exactly. That’s why if you look at the my first link http://screencast.com/t/OMFfyX5c , you’ll see that I have not checked the box to hide it. Yet on the Blog Page http://keithrosen.com/blog/ it is hidden. Do you know how I can make the search module visible on the Blog page?
