    Hi,
I just went to settings > reading > Your homepage displays > post page > you should assign your blog page.
    Thanks

I had to rmove the button again because when I selected the blog page where I list all my articles it was displayed very, very differently than the page looked (sadly worse than before). I tried to change the URL of article in an attempt to see if it was a result of having the permurl of the page named “articles” but it didn’t change anything.

Could you please look into this?

I liked to have the page that the button leads to look like it looks in “pages”.

    Hi,
You can customize the blog layout on customizer.
Please go to appearance > customize > blog > change blog layout and save it.
    Thanks

Yep, that doesn’t change the fact the button doesn’t link to the page (even though the permaurl is the same). Is this possible at all?

    See private for context.

Hi, You cannot customize your article page because it displays it as an archive page. The “See all post” button should be directed to the blog page. When you create a blank blog page, you can customize the blog page.

Ok, so from what I understand I should be able to display a custom page that will show when someone clicks on the see all posts button, right?

I have done that just now and it doesn’t work. It shows the normal “archive” page.

Even if I change the permaurl of the page I have selected right now (which is /articles) to /myarticles for example), it still shows the archive page.

I’ve set it up now and it doesn’t work correctly.

Can you please have a look?

    Thank you!

PS: What’s strange is that the header link to the articles page is affected the same way. So, it doesn’t seem to have anything to do with the button itself.

Hi, As an example, I created a blog page. I can customize the blog page as I want via the customizer. It will make no difference when you add featured images to your posts. Your only shortcoming is that there are no featured images in the posts.
    Thanks

    Hi,
I suspect we’re talking about different things.

So, let me try to clear up anything potential confusing.

I have a page called “articles”. This is a custom page I created to list all of my articles and highlight the most popular ones.

I set this custom page as the page for the button under “Reading” in the wp-admin.

Now, I assume that this page should show when one clicks on the “read all posts” button.

Instead, the archive page is shown.

So, instead of my selected custom page the archive page is shown: https://imgur.com/a/I0PdptM

This is not what I expect.

Instead of the archive page, I want to show the custom page when I click on the “see all post” button.

    How can this be achieved

    Hi,
If you want your custom page page to open when you click the “see all post” button; you need to go to settings > reading > post page : choose your custom page and save it. Thus, that page you set as custom will be your blog page. See all post button only redirects the selected page to the blog page.
    Thanks

    I understand that.

Could you please check, that it works? It doesn’t seem to work for me, despite clearing the cache. I describe it in more detail in the private content and insert login information again.

Hi, I see what you mean, unfortunately it is not possible to add a custom page url to the “See All Posts” button url by default, it is linked to your Posts page. However you may add a custom button at the bottom of your page linked to your custom articles page, I have just added to your homepage but it will appear just before the latest posts section and it is not possible to add it after the latest posts section by default.

    Have a nice day!

That was very quick, thank you!
